Angela Johnston

I am Angela Johnston and I am blessed to be the principal at St. Mary Assumption School.  I am a strong proponent of Catholic education as I attended a Catholic elementary school and attended a Catholic university.   I started my career working for 14 years as a music therapist with adjudicated youth.  I then became principal at Sacred Heart School in Hudson, MI in 2001.   Following my time at Sacred Heart I  became  Principal at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Lansing from 2010 through July 2018.  I enjoy helping to create a family school atmosphere between the students, staff, families and parishioners.  I like to get learners fired up about what they learn and I like to remind the students that they are changed every day as they have learned something new.  I am looking forward to working with the teachers, students and families as we continue to bring God praise at St. Mary Assumption School.   Let’s go Raiders…..You’re Great…Great…Great!
